Charleston Hooks for Books Boxing Awards

There will be a lot of awards handed out on Saturday night, February 12 at the finals of the West Virginia Hooks for Books Boxing State Championships.  First, we will honor the military veterans in attendance as in the past.  This year each will receive the customary certificate and for the first time each will be awarded a Hooks for Books Boxing medal.

All boxers will receive a gold medal whether they win or lose.  Additionally, each Champion will receive a Championship trophy.  There will also be special awards for the boxers, such as, Outstanding Boxier, Sportsmanship Award, and Most promising Boxer.  There will also be a Team Championship for the school that has the most champions.

Hooks for Books Boxing will also present annual awards for the following:  Official of the Year, Coach of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and the most important, Boxer of the Year.  We will also recognize the efforts of the officials and head coaches by presenting each with a special award.  On top of that, the fans will be treated to some great amateur boxing February 11-12.
