HOMETOWN HEROES BOXING is pleased to announce that the Holiday Inn Express Charleston Civic Center is once again the Headquarters Hotel for our national championships Feb. 16-17-18. The Beni Kedem Shriners Temple is located across the street from the hotel. Below is the information needed to make your reservations and what the hotel offers.

The event is sanctioned by USA Boxing West
Go to www.hometownheroesboxing.us and enter by completing and submitting the National HHB Championship form. Your entry will be manually added to the "Natl. HHB Champ. Entries" page.
Please mail entry fee of $30 per boxer to: Hometown Heroes Boxing, 809 Wisteria Drive, South Charleston, WV 25309. Checks and money orders should be made payable to Hometown Heroes Boxing. Please include the name(s) of the boxer(s) applicable to the payment. Please mail your entry fee as soon as possible to insure you are included in the draw. Entry fee must be received by February 2, 2017 or you will not be included in the draw.

Each boxer must be
registered with USA Boxing including proof of having a current annual physical and have his/her Passbook at the weigh-in.
All registrations, weigh-ins and physicals will be conducted at the Beni Kedem Shrine Temple.
Weigh-in on February 16 will be from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Only boxers scheduled to box Feb. 16 are required to weigh-in on that date. The scales will close at 4:00 p.m. and the physicals will begin at that time.
Weigh-in on February 17 for day and evening sessions will be from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Physicals will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Weigh-in on February 18 will be from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Physicals will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Boxers must be clean shaven before they will be allowed on the scales…NO EXCEPTIONS.
The weight classes shall be the approved weight
classes of USA Boxing for all age groups (see www.usaboxing.org
). There will be a novice and open class for all age/weight classes. We do reserve the right to adjust some weigh/age classes to ensure unopposed boxers get to box.

Matches will be
made based on the weight you declare on the entry form on the Hometown Heroes
Boxing website. If you fail to make the
weight you declare, you will be disqualified, however, we will make every effort to match you in the weight class
Matches will be posted on the website www.hometownheroesboxing.us by Feb. 12. We follow this procedure so boxers do not have to arrive a day early for a weigh declaration and draw which will save on room and food expenses for teams. If coaches prefer a draw at the event, we will comply with this at the 2019 championships.
Please be aware that sometimes it is impossible to match everyone due to
age and weight differences. However, we will make every effort to match all boxers even if it requires that we adjust some age/weight divisions. Our purpose is to box and not eliminate boxers before the beginning of the competition.

Unopposed boxers will not be awarded a championship belt but will be awarded a gold medal and refunded $25 from their entry fee provided they attend the event. If they choose to not attend the event, they will be refunded their $30 entry fee.
All officials (referees, judges, timekeepers, and
clerks) must be currently registered with USA Boxing and certified.

Boxing and certified. Coaches must have their 2016 Passbooks in order to receive credentials. Only three (3) coaches per team will receive credentials to enter the venue.
